We use the information needed to help you shop, fulfil orders and respond to requests.

What we use and why

Checkout details include your name, contact details and delivery address. We use them for payment verification, stock allocation, packing, delivery and support. Order lookup asks for your order reference and matching email or mobile; your address is not displayed in the lookup result.

Service providers

Payment information is handled through the selected payment provider, including PayFast. We do not ask you to enter card details into a ZYS stock-alert or review form. For Uber quotes and delivery, the address and relevant parcel details are sent to Uber; contact details are used when arranging a delivery. Hosting, IVOPS and the chosen delivery/messaging providers process the information needed for their services. Some providers may process information outside South Africa.

WhatsApp stock alerts

Alerts are optional and specific to one product. We record your mobile number, chosen item and consent. You receive a confirmation link; after confirmation, we send one alert when stock is available. No general marketing subscription is added. Cancel using the link in the message. Requests expire after 90 days; unconfirmed requests expire after two days. WhatsApp delivery depends on our messaging connection and is not guaranteed to be immediate.

Reviews and shared lists

Reviews are linked privately to a verified purchase. If approved, your chosen first name, rating and review text appear publicly. Do not include contact details in a review. Wishlist links contain selected product IDs, not your name, email or address; anyone with the link can see those selected products.

Browser storage and retention

Your browser may store basket, wishlist and theme preferences. Essential sessions and security counters help protect forms. Operational order records are kept as needed for fulfilment, accounting, legal obligations and disputes. Alert contact details are removed from active records after completion, cancellation or expiry through the retention process; limited non-contact audit information may remain.

Your choices

Contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion of your information, or to object to optional processing. We may need to confirm your identity. Deleting an optional alert does not remove records we must retain for an order or legal obligation. You may also contact South Africa’s Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
